AROUND THE FIRM

Dear NONE,

Nat Bryan of the firm recently obtained a settlement on behalf of a Trussville woman who was badly injured when her Ford sports utility vehicle rolled over on Interstate 59 in May, 2001.

Karen Meeks, 34, sued Ford Motor Company, Michelin North America, and Professional Auto Service, claiming the tread separated from the left rear tire causing her 1997 Ford Explorer to veer out of control and roll several times before coming to rest.

Nat says, "The case was tough because the tire was used when it was put on the Explorer.  It involved complicated issues of manufacturing and/or design defects versus improper repair after the tire suffered a puncture".

Karen suffered amputation of her left leg above the knee.  Karen's valiant struggle to walk and be self-sufficient were dramatized in digital videos and interviews conducted by the firm.

The terms and conditions of the settlement are confidential.

Of note, David Marsh of the firm has been listed as one of the "Leaders in Alabama" by Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business. Based on client research, David was recommended for litigation.

And the firm of Marsh, Rickard & Bryan, P.C., has been listed in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers 2004 published by Martindale-Hubbell.
