AROUND THE FIRM

Dear NONE,

David Marsh has been invited to join the Inner Circle of Advocates.  The Inner Circle of Advocates is an invitation-only group, limited to 100 trial lawyers of excellent character and integrity, representing plaintiffs throughout the United States.  To qualify, members must have tried at least 50 personal injury jury trials and won at least three verdicts in excess of one million dollars or one verdict in excess of ten million dollars.  Although spread across the country, members share experience, skills, and knowledge in the pursuit of justice.

Mike Beard has been selected by his peers to be included in the 2007 edition of The Best Lawyers in America in the specialty of Transportation Law.  Inclusion in Best Lawyers is based on a peer-review survey.  ALM calls Best Lawyers "the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice."

Henry Cornelius attended the September meeting of the St. Clair County Bar Association.  He spoke to the group about the workings of the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) and The Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA).  Henry's paper, "Helping Military Servicemembers Take Advantage of Civil Protections" is available on our firm website.  Henry says he got interested in the subject after talking to one of our former lawyers, Brandon Essig.

A graduate of University of Alabama's School of Law, Brandon practiced law with Marsh, Rickard & Bryan for about a year until he answered the call to join the Marines.  Brandon is now Captain Brandon Essig.  Brandon is a legal assistance attorney and provides all manner of legal services for active duty Marines.  We're awfully proud of him around here.  This picture of Brandon was taken on the flight deck of the USS Nashville.
