AROUND THE FIRM Dear NONE, Marsh, Rickard & Bryan is pleased to introduce you to our newest associate: William "Rip" Andrews.
Rip just graduated from The University of Alabama School of Law, where he finished first in his class, and competed on the school's trial advocacy teams. He attended Georgetown University. Rip's great love is politics. After college, he served as senior press writer for Al Gore's 2000 presidential campaign. He then worked as communications director for Don Siegelman's 2002 reelection campaign. He's following the 2008 presidential campaign but this time from a distance! Rip and Alan Lasseter recently wrote an article for publication on the qualified immunity provided to law enforcement officers in civil suits under Alabama law. The article, called "A Roadmap: Defeating Immunity in Suites Against Law Enforcement in Alabama Courts", is available for download at the firm's main website. Nat Bryan has been selected as one of America's Premiere Lawyers. As one of the "perks" of the selection, Nat enjoyed doing a radio interview in which he talked about tort litigation in the civil courts. You can hear part of the interview by clicking here. This weekend, Derrick Mills will be speaking to law students about the practice of civil litigation from the plaintiff's perspective at the Southeast Regional Black Law Students Retreat to be held at the Cumberland School of Law. Finally, Marsh, Rickard & Bryan, was one of several Birmingham law firms mentioned in the fall issue of Cumberland's "Developing News". All the Cumberland alumni at our firm made individual contributions to the law school during the last year. That includes, David Marsh, Jeff Rickard, Nat Bryan, Mike Beard, Alan Lasseter, Susan Silvernail, Tom Powell, Taylor Powell, and Tracy Dotson. Marsh, Rickard & Bryan, P.C. © 2007 |
