The David H. Marsh Scholarship

Five Attorneys

Rear: Nat Bryan, Mike Beard, Jeff Rickard.
Front: David Marsh and John Carroll, Dean, Cumberland School of Law.

The law firm of Marsh, Richard & Bryan, P.C. has established a scholarship for students at the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in honor of David H. Marsh, class of 1981. "This was the brain child of my law partners. I was caught by surprise," said David Marsh, "but I am truly honored to be a part of the education of Alabama's future lawyers."

The "David H. Marsh Scholarship" is intended to assist outstanding students who have a demonstrated financial need. The scholarship fund was established through an initial gift of $40,000 by the law firm. The goal for the fund is $100,000. Until the goal is reached, an annual award of $5,000 will made to a law student in need. The scholarship will be awarded to a second or third year student enrolled at the Law School with preference to students who are Alabama residents and who rank near the top of their class, but do not have other scholarship assistance.
