2-vehicle accident in Alabama causes critical injuries

Police are investigating the cause of a two-vehicle car accident that caused serious injuries to one woman. The incident occurred on the morning of Feb. 23 on Scenic Road in Fort Payne. A 54-year-old woman from DeKalb County was driving south in a 1987 Nissan Maxima when her vehicle crossed into the northbound lane and struck another vehicle, a 2012 Nissan van.

The driver of the Maxima sustained serious injuries as a result of the car accident and was listed in critical condition at a local hospital. The driver of the van, a 24-year-old male, was also treated in a local hospital and has been released.

The cause of this serious car accident is not yet known, but it may be due to the intentional or negligent actions of another person. Both drivers may face medical bills, lost wages, vehicle damages and other related expenses in connection with this accident. Once the cause has been determined, the victim may consider filing a personal injury lawsuit in a civil court.

Alabama car accidents may be costly, and those who have been involved in a car accident caused by another party may pursue damages through a personal injury claim. A civil lawsuit may be filed even if criminal charges are not filed. Through a personal injury claim, victims and their families may obtain financial restitution for their expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering. A civil lawsuit may also provide closure after an unfortunate car accident. Alabama residents who have been injured in a car accident may want to consult with a personal injury lawyer to explore their legal rights in more detail.
