A wrongful death lawsuit could be filed in a variety of situations including medical mistakes, product defects, nursing home abuse and motor vehicle accidents. They can also be filed following the death of an employee in a workplace accident. When a fatal workplace accident occurs, the family and loved ones of the person who perished are often understandably shocked and exploring legal actions may not be at the top of their list. Contacting a lawyer could make this process easier so that those left behind can grieve and deal with the tasks at hand.

The family of an Alabama man who recently died in a workplace accident may be considering this very approach. The 35-year-old man was working at an industrial plant when an explosion occurred. Several others were injured in the incident when they received chemical burns.

The reason for the explosion is not yet clear. An investigation into the incident will likely reveal that information. If negligence on the part of the man’s co – employees or a product manufacturer is found to have contributed to the explosion, the man’s family could file a wrongful death lawsuit. When such a claim is successful, the negligent party is held accountable and those who must learn to live without a person they love can experience a sense of closure.

If a wrongful death claim does not settle and goes to trial, it is important that the details of the fatal accident be laid out clearly. Accordingly, working with a law firm that understands that is vital.
