When you’re involved in an accident, you could have life-altering injuries. In some cases, you could lose a loved one or suffer debilitating injuries that leave you unable to work or maintain a social life. When someone else is at fault in your accident, you may be able to seek compensation from them. Take for instance this report about a two-vehicle crash in Alabama. Reports have shown that one person was killed in a tragic two-vehicle accident on I-65 in Alabama when a 2006 Toyota Tacoma was struck by a 2009 BMW 335. The car accident, which took place at around 1:10 p.m. about 15 miles northwest of Atmore, resulted in the 2006 Toyota Tacoma flipping. The overturned vehicle had one person inside, a 42-year-old man. That man was killed in the rollover accident.
The driver of the BMW 335 was not injured in the crash, according to the news. While there hasn’t been much other information reported about the crash, the Alabama State Troopers have reported that the 42-year-old man was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash. This may have contributed to his death, although an official cause of death has not been released.
Police have not said whether they will proceed with charges against the driver of the BMW. Their investigation is still ongoing at the time of the news release, which was on May 7. If alcohol or other factors like negligence were involved, the surviving driver may face serious charges for the man’s death.
