Joseph Callaway
Attorney
Joseph was first exposed to the practice of law when he worked part-time for Marsh, Rickard & Bryan while attending law school. He always wanted to return to work for the firm and serve its clients. Now, over a decade later, after serving as an attorney/clerk for two federal judges, working for another firm as an appellate writer, and as corporate counsel for a local business, he has gotten his wish and returned full circle to Marsh, Rickard & Bryan. The ten-year wait was worth it. Each of Joseph’s diverse experiences over the years has prepared him to work in Marsh, Rickard & Bryan’s appellate and probate department.
“Every step along my path to Marsh, Rickard has prepared me for my unique role in the firm. My diverse employment background gives me the ability to think like the court, understand complex issues, know how businesses behave (and misbehave), and make innovative arguments on behalf of our clients.”
Throughout his career, Joseph has always focused on serving others. As an appellate writer, Joseph not only serves Marsh, Rickard’s clients by impacting and shaping the outcome of their cases, he serves all Alabama citizens by impacting the law through legal arguments to the Supreme Court of Alabama and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
