Marsh Rickard & Bryan’s founding partner, David Marsh, is featured in the current issue of Litigation Counsel of America’s Litigation Commentary & Review. The interview focuses on David’s accomplishments as a lawyer trying civil cases in Alabama.
David also offers some insight into his pre-trial rituals and trial preparation. When asked about the key component of trial law, he states “preparation [is] more important than anything else”.
David is also asked to share some “war” stories from the courtroom. He recalls a couple of key cross-examinations and the longest and shortest jury deliberations he’s experienced in his career.
David started trying cases while he was still in law school; as a third year law student he helped the district attorney’s office try criminal cases. Since then, he’s tried civil cases in every county in Alabama, representing people who have been seriously injured or lost loved ones to injuries on the job, on the road, or from a hospital or doctor. Best Lawyers named David the Plaintiffs’ lawyer of the Year for Birmingham in the practice area of personal injury litigation for 2012.
