Motorcyclists have many safety concerns with which to contend. Not only must they ensure their own motorcycle is in proper working condition, but they must also attempt to anticipate the actions of other cars and trucks who often fail to see motorcycles. Sadly, one Alabama man recently died from injuries he sustained in a motorcycle and car accident last July.
The motorcycle accident occurred when the 43-year-old man was traveling southbound on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. At this same time, a driver was turning left onto the road on which the motorcycle was traveling. Police believe the 43-year-old motorcyclist crashed into the moving car and he was thrown from his motorcycle.
The 43-year-old man sustained serious and life-threatening injuries. He was taken to the University Of Alabama Birmingham Hospital where he remained under the watchful eye of attending doctors for nearly three months. In October, the man’s doctors believed his condition had improved enough for him to continue his recovery in the comfort of his own home.
Sadly, however, the man recently succumbed to his many injuries when his wife discovered he had died.
Individuals who are involved in motorcycle accidents suffer injuries that are often severe and complicated. Head and brain injuries as well as severe skin and tissue damage and internal bleeding, are all common injuries that result from motorcycle accidents. These types of injuries are difficult to treat and often leave individuals permanently disabled.
